Western & Oriental unveils 'price-conscious' holiday range
Jun 08, 2012 12:49PM

Western & Oriental has launched a range of holidays aimed at price-conscious customers who still want to take advantage of the quality and service offered by the operator.

Called 'Light by Western & Oriental', the properties featured are four-star-plus and five star hotels that offer good value for money.

Prices start from £299 per person for a seven night stay at the Aphrodite Hills resort in Cyprus.

Destinations offered include mainstream favourites such as Cyprus, Spain, Greece, Tenerife and Egypt alongside more exotic long-haul options such as Thailand, Cuba, Mexico, the Maldives, Mauritius and the Caribbean. Holidays can also be tailor made.

There is a dedicated area on the Western & Oriental website which includes tips for clients looking to make their money spread further.

Western & Oriental head of trade sales Steve O’Louglin said: “The main area that we have looked at is the long-haul side of the business. We talk to agents daily and they feed back. Those who take part in wedding fairs said that budgets have changed and have reduced sadly so they are looking for good value four-star properties without the luxury price tag."

He added: "There were also a number of properties that agents were requesting and we did not have contracts on certain hotels. Once the demand was high enough our product team have contracted them and they are now on sale.

“The agents I have met with so far are very impressed with the range of product from the Med to the Maldives and are delighted that we have product that can compete with some of the companies that clients are coming in with.

"Our prices will be highly competitive and we will continue to pay agents a good level of commission on this new and dynamic product.”
